Launching & sessions
Launch a profile
- Find the profile in the Profiles list.
- Click the green play button on the right side of the row.
The button turns blue and shows a spinner during startup. The app syncs the profile, tests the proxy connection (if one is assigned), and then opens the browser.
The button turns red (stop icon) once the profile is active.
Launching without a proxy
If the profile has no proxy assigned, a dialog appears offering to:
- Pick a proxy to assign before launching.
- Launch without a proxy (traffic goes through your real IP).
- Check "don't ask again for this profile" to skip the dialog in future sessions.
Webcam file mode
If the profile's fingerprint has webcam mode set to file, a dialog prompts you to choose a video file to stream as the webcam feed before the browser opens.
Stop a profile
Click the red stop button on the row of the running profile. A confirmation dialog appears. Confirm to close the browser.
After the browser closes, Maskifi saves and syncs the profile data. The row shows a "Stopping" state during this process. Once it completes, the button returns to green (play).
Stuck stopping state
If a profile stays in "Stopping" for more than 10 seconds, the button turns purple. Clicking it again resets the state and re-launches the profile. This is a recovery action for cases where the close signal was lost.
Sessions on multiple devices
A profile running on another team device shows as active (remote). The button is dimmed and disabled by default so you do not accidentally conflict with the running session.
If the profile's Allow multirun setting is on, the button stays active (green) even when the profile is remote-active. Clicking it launches the profile locally in parallel.
Force stop a remote session
If a profile is active on another device and you need to reclaim it:
- Open the three-dot row menu for the profile.
- Click Force stop.
- Confirm.
The remote session is closed. The other device will receive a notification that the profile was force-stopped.
Last activity
The last-activity timestamp in the profile row updates when a session ends. It reflects when the profile was last closed, not when it was last launched.
